The goal of Old Michigan is to show classic movies the way they were meant to be seen. In order to properly provide that experience, this 96 year old theater needs some work.

Money is only half of it though, a plan is also required. Since we think we have raised enough to get things moving, we plan on getting started this winter. And in case you didn’t already know, the first big project we are focusing on is getting the plumbing fixed, and more specifically, having working restrooms. Homo Sapiens have evolved to live in symbiosis with indoor restrooms, which puts that at the top of our priority list.

First we have to have the building inspector come take a peek at things. After that we will know exactly how much work is ahead of us and we can plan accordingly. If by some miracle we can leave the bathrooms as they are and just install new pipes and fixtures, then there is a decent chance that we can get the bathrooms open for next summer! Wouldn’t that be the cat’s pajamas?!
